St Nicholas go into the new Premier League season looking to build on their rapid rise through the women's football pyramid after three successive promotions.
The Chipping Sodbury-based club won the South West League Premier Division title last season at the first attempt and manager John Seymour admits they cannot wait for the challenge in South West Division One.
"We are really excited to be a part of the new Premier League and are looking forward to the new challenge ahead and testing ourselves against the quality that we will be playing," he said.
"Pre-season has gone reasonably well but like all clubs, we have suffered at times with players being on holiday which has disrupted our preparation at times but overall most of the squad's fitness is about where it should be.
"I have managed to bring in some players to strengthen the squad and a few have moved on. Ideally I would still like to add a player or two that has the experience and quality of playing at this level which will help with the development of the other players, especially the younger ones. I am on the lookout for a Goalkeeping Coach but as yet, have not found anyone suitable.
"Our aims for the season ahead is to stay in the league and finish as near to top spot as possible by playing a brand of football that will be entertaining, that allows the players to express themselves by playing the ball on the floor. We are ambitious and have worked really hard to get to where we are and we intend to work even harder to fulfil the ambition of playing at the highest level possible.
"We have budgeted for the next three seasons and have a development plan in place that will hopefully get us to where we want to be which is the Premier League Southern Division. If and when we get there, we can then all sit down and decide where our ambition goes from there."
