Cargo Fleet Juniors are the first team to be welcomed to Thornaby's Teesdale Park, the home ground of Middlesbrough FC Ladies, as their match day special guests.
As part of a new initiative this season, girls and women's teams close to Middlesbrough will be invited to home games, have the opportunity to lead the team out as mascots, enjoy the opportunity for a kick around at half time and have the chance to meet and take pictures with the players afterwards.
Middlesbrough manager Lindsey Stephenson said: "I think that this gives the girls a great chance to see the game at our level, remembering that our games are great value at just £2 to get in for adults. It would be nice to see more teams take up the offer and maybe we could look at a penalty shootout at half time in a few weeks between everyone."
Cargo Fleet's manager Garry Lever-Mains said on MFC Ladies Facebook page: "Thanks for inviting us. You made the girls feel very welcome and we will definitely be coming back regularly to show our support. Well Done MFC Ladies."
