County and City finish level
 Women's Football News 3 Sep 2014
Notts County 1 (Clarke 59) Manchester City 1 (Duggan 62)
Notts County were held at home by Man City as both sides left Meadow Lane with a point.
Notts took the lead through top scorer Jess Clarke, only to be pegged back three minutes later when Toni Duggan's strike meant both sides left with a share of the spoils.
Notts County Ladies are still searching for their first FA Women's Super League win since April after they were held 1-1 at home by Manchester City. It looked like the Lady Pies would claim their first three points since they beat Everton on 20th April when player-of-the-match Jess Clarke fired them in front just before the hour mark. But Toni Duggan levelled just three minutes later to earn City a deserved share of the spoils, remarkably their first draw of the league season.
The visitors enjoyed the best of the first half chances with Jill Scott and Krystle Johnston both coming close to opening the scoring. But it was Notts who hit the front on 59 minutes when City goalkeeper Karen Bardsley smacked an attempted clearance against Clarke. The County striker then won the race for the loose ball to prod home from a yard out.
City levelled on 62 minutes when Duggan smashed home from 12 yards after the hosts had failed to clear a corner.
The lively Clarke came close to restoring County's lead on 64 minutes when her snapshot was cleared off the line by Steph Houghton. Duggan then saw a curling effort saved by Telford on 73 minutes, before Houghton fired wide as City pushed for the winner in the dying stages.
Notts County: Carly Telford, Amy Turner, Rachel Unitt, Danielle Brogan, Rachel Unitt, Katie Holtham, Jess Clarke, Caitlin Friend (sub Emily Roberts 65mins), Aileen Whelan, Ashleigh Plumptre (sub Laura-Jane O'Neill 65mins), Desiree Scott.

Manchester City: Karen Bardsley, Abbie McManus, Emma Lipman, Chelsea Nightingale (sub Betsy Hassett 45mins), Kathleen Radtke, Steph Houghton, Krystle Johnston, Jill Scott, Toni Duggan, Natasha Flint, Keira Walsh (sub Issy Christiansen 64mins).
