Naomi's late, late winner
 Women's Football News 5 Sep 2014
Millwall Lionesses 1 (Cole pen 90) Watford 0
Millwall captain Naomi Cole struck a last gasp penalty to ensure Millwall Lionesses returned to winning ways in the FA Women's Super League 2 against Watford.
Millwall had lost their previous five games in all competitions but Cole's spot kick heroics sank Watford hearts in stoppage time.
The hosts made a positive start and created the better of the first half chances with Ciara Sherwood, Cherelle Albert and Lily Agg all trying their luck in the opening minutes.
On 18 minutes Kim Stenning's long-rang effort looked to be dipping in but was tipped over by Watford keeper Lauren Davey. Davey was on hand again to prevent the home side three minutes later, this time denying Cherelle Albert from close range.
The best chance of the half fell Watford's way on the stroke of half time. Lionesses' keeper Sarah Quantrill denied an effort from Kim Farrow, captain Naomi Cole lunged bravely to block Magda Mosengo's follow up and Jo Wilson fired the loose ball wide with an open goal in front of her.
The Lionesses continued to put Watford under pressure, after the interval, with Lily Agg sending a free kick just wide of the top right corner in the 47th minute.
On the hour mark Naomi Cole saw her header from a Cherrelle Albert corner cleared off the line, before Davey recovered to block Lilli Maple's shot, after the ball had been played back in to the box.
Lily Agg and Frankie Strugnell both chanced their arm with long range efforts but the game seem destined for stalemate until the 90th minute when Chloe Gunn bundled over Agg in the penalty area.
Naomi Cole stepped up to the spot she fired her third goal of the season into the top right corner to earn a very welcome victory.
