East Midlands League
The five games in the Premier Division on Sunday each produced close results. Rise Park are the team which sits on top of the opening day table after they won 3-1 away to Grimsby Borough, courtesy of a Natasha Murray brace and Loren Melhado. Stevie Bough and Jodie Ellis scored the goals as Eastwood Community beat Sandiacre Town 2-0. New signing Sam Clarke marked her debut by scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot in Ellistown's 3-2 victory over Long Eaton Utd, to add to earlier strikes from Katie Bateman and Jody Scott. Gedling Town notched up a 3-2 win at Notts County Development thanks to Nadia Anderson, Hayley Brown and Demi-Leigh Crofts whilst Peterborough Northern Star also edged out Nettleham by the odd goal in five, Donna Nicholls scoring twice along with an own goal.
Lincoln Moorlands Railway had a good introduction to the league, winning 3-2 at Teversal in Division One North. Tara Capon (2) and Naomi Johnson scored the goals for Railway who sit at the head of the early table with Winterton Rangers, who beat Alfreton Town 2-1 thanks to Kathryn Standerling and Stephanie Warner. Sleaford Town and Rottingdean Village meanwhile battled out a 4-4 draw, Faye Brown netting four times for Rottingdean but still not finishing on the winning side because of doubles from Amy Kilgannon and Abigail Young.
Newly promoted Burton Park Wanderers won their first match in Division One South, 4-2 against Corby S & L. Louise Burgess hit a double with Laura Beckett and Katie Steward also on target. Tash Applegate scored a hat-trick and Eloise Willmott the other as Raunds Town also won 4-2 at AFC Trinity. Oadby & Wigston Dynamo won a high scoring affair against Kettering Town by the odd goal in eleven.
Eastern Region League
Barking maintained their good start in the Premier Division, beating Leverstock Green 8-1 to put themselves at the top of the fledgling table. Carly Vigors led the scoring with a hat-trick, Liane Prior added a brace and there was one apiece from Emma Best, Claire Brooks and Kelsey Watson. Billericay Town join them on six points after Sophie Whiting netted the only goal of the game against Great Shelford. Colchester Town moved up the table as Laura Guyon (2) and Rosi Webb gave them a 3-0 victory over Acle Ladies. A Natasha Thomas double and an own goal ensured that Lowestoft Town belatedly began their season with a 3-2 win against AFC Dunstable and Haringey Borough edged out Stevenage 1-0. In Division One North, Bury Town opened up by winning 3-0 away to Norwich City Res with Gemma Carter and Katie Shorter amongst the scorers. The other game between AFC Sudbury and Bar Hill was abandoned after 74 minutes with Bar Hill leading 1-0, when Sudbury's Charlotte Golding was taken to hospital with a broken leg.
Offley & Stopsley began life in the league with a 6-2 victory over Hutton, courtesy of a goal each from Emma Collins, Emma James, Rachel Lewis, Charlene Moreton and Rianne Townsend-Brown. West Billericay also got off to a good start, Michaela Standing and Katy Judd giving them a 2-1 win away to Colney Heath. Sawbridgeworth Town and Stevenage Res shared four goals, Jemma Whiteman scoring twice for Sawbow with Bernice Corney and Kierra Gabriel replying, whilst Southendian Ladies and Royston Town shared a 1-1 draw with strikes from Shannon Mackie and Yasmin Pratt respectively.
London & South East League
Carshalton Athletic have held on to the early leadership of the Premier Division after Laura Curtis and Kayley Smith gave them a 2-0 victory over Eastbourne Town. Fulham FC Foundation defeated Bexhill Utd 4-0 and London Corinthians complete a trio of clubs on six points following their 5-1 win against Kikk Utd, Emily Hart hitting a hat-trick along with Chanel Richards and Jane Simpson. AFC Wimbledon registered their first points when scoring six without reply past Hassocks, Caroline Bisson bagging a four-goal haul and Emma Keady a brace. Rebecca Carter (2), Jade Simmons (2) and Holly Walker were on the scoresheet for Crawley Wasps in their 5-1 win over Aylesford.
The league programme in Division One (London) opened up on Sunday and Brentford recorded the biggest victory, scoring nine without reply past Hemel Hempstead. Ashley Cheatley netted a hat-trick along with braces from Dana Johnson and Lavana Neufville, Vicky James and Lucy Easton completing the tally. Christy Haragan (2), Maria Freitas Mendonca and Lydia Tobin scored the goals as AFC Phoenix won 4-0 at Battersea & Wandsworth and Camden Town defeated Regents Park Rangers by the same scoreline with strikes from Kate Freeman, Alicia Bravo, Frankie Stone and Eleftheria Taladianou. Amy Bradley bagged a hat-trick and Tanvie Hans the other as Tottenham Hotspur Development beat Crystal Palace Development 4-2 whilst Watford Development edged out Queen's Park Rangers Development by the odd goal in nine, courtesy of a Courtnay Ward-Chambers hat-trick, Emma Bebbington and Sian Fiskin.
North East League
Hull City were agonisingly close to winning the Premier Division title last season and they have started well this time around, with a 5-1 victory over Whitley Bay. Rachael Cooke and Sarah Owen each netted twice for Hull along with Rebecca Beech. Newly promoted Brighouse Town meanwhile made a good impact by winning 3-0 away to Peterlee RA thanks to Laura Danskin, Claire Needham and Aleathia Smith. Danielle Biglin and Danielle Middleton both bagged braces and Kayleigh Gerrietty the other as Wakefield notched up a 5-3 success at Tynedale and Barnsley also began well, Jenna Bramley and Jess Wheatman giving them a 2-0 victory against Hessle Town. York City defeated Scunthorpe & Bottesford 2-0 with goals from Jasmine Whitwell and Louise Ross.
Blyth Town Lions made the fastest start in the Northern Division, beating Prudhoe Town 8-0. Sarah Burn hit a hat-trick, Megan Mullarkey and Hannah Smith each contributed a brace and Sydney Robertson completed the tally. Bobby Barwick, Emma Cockerill and Sophie Riley scored the goals as Easingwold Town defeated Birtley Town 3-0 whilst Birtley St Josephs were 2-0 winners at Redcar Town thanks to Caitlin Hindmarsh and Elisha Jones. Boldon Ladies edged out Lowick Utd 4-3, Allison Leach netting a hat-trick and Elizabeth Thompson-Clarke the other, and goals from Rachael Smales, Kirsty Williams and Emily Tate ensured that Gateshead Rutherford Ravens were 3-2 winners over Kader FC. Middlesbrough Lionesses and Redcar Athletic finished level at 3-3 with Mary Barnard, Jessica Cook and Lauren McGhee on target for Middlesbrough and Athletic replying through Lisa Byrne, Stephanie Field and Louise Arden.
Sheffield Wednesday were one of two teams to win 7-0 in the Southern Division. Debutants Natalie Ledger (2) and Holly Barwick were on target as Wednesday beat newly promoted Courts City with Emma Otley (2), Stacey Buxton and Channy Rymer also on the mark. Wetherby Athletic also scored seven without reply past Ossett Albion thanks to a Debra Slater hat-trick, Grace Adams, Rebecca Davies, Emma Guilder and Adele Jackson. Trudi Race scored Dearne & District's consolation in their 5-1 defeat at Malet Lambert, who responded through a four-goal haul by Carla Green and Ellie Shepherd netted the other. Amy Ward and Megan Hornby scored for Westella & Willerby who opened with a 2-0 win at Doncaster Belles (Women's) and Farsley AFC beat Rovers Foundation Ladies 1-0, Katherine Paul-Bird grabbing the only goal of the game.
South West League
Swindon Spitfires are the early leaders of the Premier Division following a 5-1 victory over Bridgwater Town. Katie Wadey hit a hat-trick for the Wiltshire side with other goals from Karyn Coombs and Debbie Rose, with Abi Locke replying. Gloucester City returned to the top division with a fine 4-2 win against Truro City courtesy of a goal apiece from Laura Meheran, Laura Stephens, Ashleigh Watson and Jodie Hennessey. Torquay Utd edged out Bristol Ladies Union by the odd goal in seven, Laura Gough (2), Vicki Fannon and Louisa Stentiford-Crook were on target with the home side responding through Cheryl Baber, Toni Blenkinsopp and Sam Rogers. Frome Town and Downend Flyers battled out a 1-1 draw, Annie Redding netting for Frome and Kate Michael on target for Downend.
After struggling for wins for most of last season, Taunton Town's move to the Eastern Division has started off successfully as they beat Bishop's Lydeard 3-2. Claire Dawe, Hannah Forse and Rebecca Farthing netted their goals with Dawna Dennett and Helen Knott on target for the home side. Forest Green Rovers Res won 2-1 away to Keynsham Town Res, whose consolation came from Emma Summerill. Anneka Hawkins was on target for Cleeve West Town in their 1-1 draw with Poole Town, who replied through Rebecca Miles.
Marine Academy Plymouth have made a strong start in the Western Division, Sam Drewery netting four times in their 9-1 victory at Bude Town. Kate Bowden, Rosie Burridge, Lindsey Harris, Harriet Howell and Nicola Symons added the other goals for Marine. Louise Ham, Kat Marment, Jodie Shipton and Sarah Winn were the markswomen for Callington Town as they defeated Launceston 4-1 and newly promoted AFC Plympton were 4-2 winners at Alphington thanks to Sam Metters, Danielle Moody, Chelsea Robinson and Ellie Simpson. Charlestown also won 4-2 against Illogan Ladies, Tori Marks bagging a hat-trick with Rhiannon Player joining her on the scoresheet.
Southern Region League
Parley Sports sit on top of the opening day Premier Division table after running out 9-1 winners over newly promoted Newbury Ladies. Charlie Lanahan was on target four times, Rachel Anderson weighed in with a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Natalie Rees and Philippa Holden. Basingstoke Town defeated Aldershot Town 5-3 with goals from Katie Randell (2), Lindsey Beverley, Charlie Fry and Samantha Mosley whilst Tina Brett, Olivia Buzaglo, Zoe Clifford and Catherine Butts gave Maidenhead Utd a 4-2 victory over Oxford City.
Marlow have made a flying start in Division One, winning 7-2 away to Stony Stratford, Abi Canvin scoring four along with Amy Pollard, Grainne McNally and Paige Vantuykorn. Catherine Howse bagged a hat-trick for Banbury Utd in their 5-2 victory over Tower Hill, Zoe Boote and Jennifer Hoggins adding the others, while Andover New Street were 4-2 winners over Ascot Utd thanks to Tammi Haynes (2), Laura Gilbank and Charlotte Hull. Chantelle O'Grady netted a brace with Lisa Welling and Naomi Littler completing a 4-2 victory against Milton Keynes City and Fleet Town completed a trio of 4-2 wins, at the expense of Southampton Women with goals from Joanne Harfield (2), Elizabeth Farrant and Rae Roberts.
West Midlands League
On a day of tight results in the Premier Division, B & WM Police recorded the biggest victory when beating Coventrians 2-0, Gemma Mooney scoring both goals. Julie Stirrup, Jamie Phillips, Stacey Garnham and Isha Alsadek were all on target for Allscott as they edged out Crusaders by the odd goal in seven. Kingshurst Sporting Club won 2-1 at Wrockwardine Wood as did Knowle against Pelsall Villa, Anna-Marie Robinson bagging a brace. Lizzy White netted the only goal of the game as TNS Ladies recorded a 1-0 victory against Leamington Lions.
