Ravens lead cup surprises

Gateshead Rutherford Ravens picked up one of the best results of the round when they defeated Prudhoe Town 4-1, which books them a trip to Peterlee RA. 
 
Vicky Freeman netted twice for the Ravens and she was joined on the scoresheet by Kirsty Finlayson and Michelle Wright.
 
Blyth Town Lions were winners from arguably the most exciting tie in the F.A.Women's Cup Preliminary Round when they beat Lowick Utd 7-6 after extra time to earn themselves a trip to Boldon.
 
Malet Lambert YC caused a surprise when they won 5-3 at Wakefield and are now at home to Farsley AFC. Tynedale meanwhile had better fortunes with a 7-2 success over Birtley St Josephs whilst Brighouse Town defeated Keighley Oaks 10-1.
 
CMB Ladies made sure that their long trip to Cumbria was a worthwhile one as they won 3-2 against Carlisle Utd, which books them a tie away to Blackpool Wren Rovers.
 
Long Eaton Utd enjoyed their journey to Rise Park where their 5-1 victory means they face West Bridgford in the next round. Nettleham had a much smoother passage by scoring thirteen without reply against Arnold Town to set up a meeting with Sandiacre Town.
 
Oadby & Wigston will be away to Ruddington Village after they defeated Dronfield Town 2-1 and TNS Ladies came away from Coventrians with a 4-0 victory under their belts. Abi Cottam scored all four goals for TNS who now travel to Leamington Lions.
 
Roade Ladies stormed to a 7-1 success at March Town Utd and their reward is a tough one at Great Shelford. Raunds Town meanwhile defeated Kettering Town 4-2 after extra time and they now go to Fulbourn Institute.
 
Lowestoft Town went through with a crushing 12-1 victory over AFC Sudbury but there were also a number of very close games. Rothwell Corinthians pipped Sandy Ladies by the only goal of the game to earn a home tie with Peterborough Northern Star, whilst Brentwood Town needed a penalty shootout win in order to progress past Bury Town and they now host West Billericay.
 
Hannah Fowler scored the only goal of the game as Sawbridgeworth Town beat Stevenage Ladies 1-0 and they now go to Royston Town. Barking kept up their good start to the season with a 3-2 success at Kikk Utd, they are at home to Sherrardswood.
 
Old Actonians scored eight without reply away to Chesham Utd and Leverstock Green were 6-0 winners over Headington Ladies, whilst London Corinthians equalled the highest victory of the round when beating South Park 12-1, they are now at home to Eastbourne Ladies who were 1-0 winners over Hassocks.
 
Burgess Hill Town defeated Abbey Rangers 4-2 thanks to a Keeley Wheatley hat-trick and Sadie Ashby, and they are now away to Eastbourne Town (see match report). Battersea & Wandsworth came through an awkward tie with a 2-1 success at Surrey Eagles while Carshalton Athletic netted five without reply against Regents Park Rangers.
 
Kate Michael scored from the penalty spot and Amber Coates added the second as Downend Flyers won 2-0 away to Brislington, which earns them a trip to Swindon Spitfires in the next round. Bristol Ladies Union were beaten 1-0 at home by Truro City whose reward is another long journey to Frome Town, 2-0 winners over Cheltenham Civil Service thanks to Steph Isaacson and Becky Yeo.
 
Poole Town produced a great result in beating Aldershot Town 4-0, Chloe Newton scoring twice along with Rebecca Miles and Sam Gubb. Poole will now be at home to Basingstoke Town whilst Fleet Town go to Christchurch after winning 4-2 away to Southampton Women, Jo Harfield netting all four goals.
 
Ilminster Town won 4-2 at Wootton Bassett Town to book themselves a trip to Torquay Utd whilst Bridgwater Town netted six without reply past Launceston. Anusia Rourke hit a hat-trick and she was joined on the scoresheet by Abigail Locke (2) and Rosie Williams to seal a trip to Pen Mill.
