MFC Ladies aim to equal men's cup penalties
 Women's Football News 24 Sep 2014
Middlesbrough Ladies are looking for junior and girls teams to help them recreate Boro's historic 13 penalties in the men's League Cup game against Liverpool last night.
With home games being played at Teesdale Park in Thornaby, the club are hoping to host a series of penalty shootouts at half time.
Entry to the game is just £2 / 50p and teams involved will be mentioned on the official website at www.mfcladies.co.uk and featured as part of the match day programme.
MFC Ladies manager Lindsey Stephenson said: "The passion, commitment and pride shown by our men's side last night against Liverpool is something that extends to every single one of my players this season. Everyone associated with my team and their supporters were proud to be from the 'Boro after a performance like that. "MFC Ladies share the drive that our men's side do led by Aitor Karanka.
"Being a mascot for MFC Ladies game's gives young players - and more importantly - young girl players the opportunities to lead us out on our home games, enjoy the game, play on the pitch at half time and be a true part of the game. Plus afterwards meet the team and get pictures and autographs which is important to us as players too."
Please email andy@mfcladies.co.uk to enquire about how your side can be involved with MFC Ladies' matchday experience.
