Scottish Cup holders Glasgow City progressed into the semi finals after a resounding 11-0 win over Hamilton Academical in their quarter final at Airdrie Excelsior Stadium.
It seems the shock loss to Spartans only seven days ago has reignited a spark in Eddie Wolecki Black's side and they demolished Hamilton with goals from Courtney Whyte (2), Eilish McSorley (2), Denise O'Sullivan (2), Susan Fairlie (2), Morgan Marlborough, Suzanne Lappin and Julie Nelson.
The tie of the round went the way of Aberdeen - but only just, with a 2-1 victory over Rangers after extra time. Rebecca Dempster gave the Dons the lead with Erin Cuthbert equalising for Rangers to take the game into the extra period. Rachael Small, who had earlier hit the post, settled matters in Aberdeen's favour but it took a late penalty save from Becky Flaherty to secure the win.
Spartans built on their superb win over Glasgow City seven days earlier by beating Inverness City 5-0 to book their place in the last four. Claire Crosbie, Sarah Ewens, Trish McLaughlin, Louise Mason and Lana Clelland all netted a goal apiece for Debbi McCulloch's side.
Hibernian complete the semi final line-up after ending the hopes of the last remaining Scottish Women's Football League club, Falkirk Ladies, with a 6-1 victory. Kirsty Smith was on target twice for Hibs along with Katey Turner, Chelsea Cornet, Lucy Graham and Lizzie Arnot.
