Bradford City made it three teams level on points at the top of the Northern Division when they defeated Sheffield FC 5-0. Victoria Rich hit a hat-trick for the second week in a row and there was one each from Zoe Roberts and Valerie Sobol.
 
Nottingham Forest beat local rivals Derby County 2-1 to go two points ahead in the Midland Division, goals coming from Tara Guyler and Jessica Thompson. Wolverhampton Wanderers meanwhile kept up their good start with a 7-1 victory over Leicester City Ladies. Loughborough Students and Leicester City Women battled out a 3-3 draw whilst Cardiff City Ladies belatedly began their league programme with a 6-1 win against FC Reedswood.
 
Kelly Stubbington was on target four times as Southern Division leaders Charlton Athletic defeated Queen's Park Rangers 6-1. Kylie Manktelow added a brace for the Addicks who lead by three points from Portsmouth, 7-2 winners at Lewes thanks to Eilidh Currie (2), Megan Gratton (2), Ellie Skinner (2) and Chloe Dark. Steph Burder, Sasha Kelly, Gemma Abela and Amy Gullefer were on the scoresheet as West Ham Utd beat Gillingham 4-0. Benedite Pambani grabbed the only goal of the game as Tottenham Hotspur won 1-0 at Chichester City and C & K Basildon won 2-1 against Bedford Ladies with strikes from Ashley Debnam and Lauren Knight.
 
Stoke City went through to the Second Round of the Reserve Section League Cup after running out 7-2 winners over Huddersfield Town. Also through are Crystal Palace, who defeated Coventry City 4-2.
 
In the FA WSL Development League, it was League Cup day and holders Arsenal won 5-0 against Reading FC Women in Group One. Evie Clarke and Carla Humphrey were on target twice along with Chloe Kelly. Chelsea defeated Watford 1-0 and Millwall Lionesses beat London Bees 5-0 thanks to Sharnel Peat (2), Chloe Burr, Paige Anderson-James and Georgia Miller.
 
Sunderland opened up Group Two with a 3-1 win away to Doncaster Rovers Belles, Natalie Gutteridge scoring twice and Chloe Johnson the other. Mollie Green and Hannah Dale were on target as Liverpool beat Manchester City 2-0 whilst Durham Women notched up a 2-1 victory over Everton, Yasmine Hardy netting both goals.
 
Charlie Wellings scored six times and Cheryl Edwards weighed in with a further four as Birmingham City ran out 13-0 winners over Oxford Utd in Group Three. Coral-Jade Haines (2) and Danae Kalderidou completed the tally for the Blues. Yeovil Town started well by beating Aston Villa 2-1 thanks to Jodi Cornwall and Emily Donovan, meanwhile Notts County narrowly won 1-0 against Bristol Academy.
