Three teams can still take second place in the Scottish Women's Premier League going into the last round of matches.
These will be led by Rangers who moved into the runners-up position on goal difference by sharing a 3-3 draw with Aberdeen. An own goal, Kathryn Hill and Lisa Swanson had put Rangers 3-1 ahead at one stage but the Dons fought back to earn themselves a point, courtesy of a Rachael Small brace and Rebecca Dempster.
The point takes Rangers above Hibernian who went down to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Champions Glasgow City. Joanne Love, Fiona Brown and Denise O'Sullivan scored the goals for City with Hibs replying through Katey Turner.
Spartans meanwhile gave themselves a chance with a 4-1 victory over Celtic. Katie Reilly and Louise Mason each bagged doubles for Spartans, who trail the other two teams by two points, while Chloe Arthur netted Celtic's consolation.
In the bottom section of the table, Hamilton Academical put themselves in an unassailable position by winning 2-0 against their nearest rivals, Inverness City.
Hutchison Vale meanwhile won 2-1 against Forfar Farmington, who are still looking over their shoulders with two games left to play. They are currently three points above Buchan Ladies, who climbed off the bottom of the table at the expense of Queen's Park by beating them 5-2.
