Doncaster Rovers Belles 2 (Smith 37,52) Yeovil Town 0
Sue Smith struck twice to take the FA Women's Super League 2 title race into the final weekend as Doncaster Rovers Belles marked their last home game of the campaign with victory against Yeovil Town.
The former England winger scored in each half, the second courtesy of a stunning long range strike, to ensure the Belles go into the final weekend two points behind leaders Sunderland.
Doncaster had been restricted to long range efforts early on, until Kasia Lipka found space in the area on 25 minutes and brought a good save from Rachel Simkin.
The Belles were in front of 37 minutes, Lipka driving at the defence to find Jess Sigsworth and - though Simkin saved well from the initial chance - Smith converted the rebound.
Courtney Sweetman-Kirk came within inches of doubling the advantage on the stroke of half time, her well-crafted turn and shot bounced awkwardly for Simkin but hit the post.
Smith did get the second on 52 minutes though, and in sumptuous style too, cutting inside to curl a 25-yard, dipping effort into the top corner.
Yeovil rallied, Sarah Wiltshire hitting the post on 69 minutes from a tight angle after rounding Nicola Hobbs, but the Belles stood firm to keep their title hopes alive.
Both teams will be in London for the final match of the season, Sunderland will need a win away to Millwall Lionesses to be confirmed as Champions, any other result will mean that Doncaster would overhaul them by beating London Bees.
