Having secured their place convincingly in the Welsh Premier Women's League through the Play-Offs, Rhyl & Prestatyn Ladies are thoroughly enjoying playing their part in the National League.
Although they won their first ever WPWL match in Aberystwyth on the opening day of the season, they have subsequently failed to secure another victory in their other four matches to date.
However Manager Tom Jamieson is encouraged by his team's development and the general standard of play of their opponents.
"Since gaining Promotion to the WPWL this season, I have been impressed with the overall standard of football that all teams are playing in the Premier League," he said. "We knew as a Club this year would both be a challenge and transitional period for us but we are adapting well.
"I have been very pleased that our ladies have competed in every game so far and have been very unlucky to lose a couple of games by the odd goal - but that's football!"
Rhyl & Prestatyn Ladies welcome Cardiff City FC to the Corbett Sports Stadium this Sunday and Tom is confident that his girls' performances will start translating into more points sooner rather than later.
"Our team spirit is very strong and we are relishing the challenge of the WPWL. What pleases me is the fact that that the girls are putting in two extra training sessions a week on their Levels of Fitness with our Local Gym Sponsor Palzfitness,I am sure this will help us get stronger as the season continues."
As mentioned, Rhyl & Prestatyn now play their home matches at the impressive Corbett Sport Stadium and Tom believes that this is integral to the development of the team and women's football in the area: "I must say a big thank you to Mike Jones and the Team at Rhyl FC who have been superb with us at our new home ground. All visiting teams recognise the excellent facilities.
"With a couple of more signings planned for the team and investment in our Youth Structure Player Pathway, I think the future looks bright for the Rhyl & Prestatyn Ladies."
