Cardiff Met move further clear
 Women's Football News 3 Nov 2014

Cardiff Met Ladies extended their lead once more at the top of the Welsh Premier Women's League when they defeated Cardiff City FC 7-0.

The main damage was inflicted in the second half when six of the goals were scored, after Emily Brown gave the university side the lead six minutes before the break. Robyn Pinder netted the second early in the second half, before Chloe O'Connor and Ellie Sargent added further goals in quick succession. Emily Allen and Abbie Picton also got on the scoresheet before Brown scored her second late on.

Swansea City are up into second place following their 4-0 success away to Llandudno. Rachel Rowe opened the scoring for the Swans and Emma Beynon added the second shortly before half time. Amanda John made it three, six minutes after the restart, with Beynon completing her double to round off the scoring with fourteen minutes remaining.

PILCS got back to winning ways with a 6-2 victory over Cwmbran Celtic, who had started the day in second. Ceri Hudson gave PILCS the lead with Amy Thrupp adding a quickfire double, before Katrina French and Kate Jeremiah further extended their lead. Alana Murphy and Vicki Randall reduced the arrears for Cwmbran but PILCS were not finished and Lyndsey Davies wrapped up the win with the final goal.

Port Talbot Town ran out 5-0 winners over Aberystwyth Town, who are still seeking their first points. Jesci Hare and Lucy Edwards scored either side of half time and Sian Scannell added the third, before Edwards completed her brace and Rachael Ball rounded off the scoring.

Wrexham also netted five without reply past Newcastle Emlyn to take themselves into mid-table. Kate Edwards and Amber Bailey both netted a goal in each half and Lexi Musgrave was also on the scoresheet.
