Amy pegs Cardiff back
 Women's Football News 18 Nov 2014

Two of the main title contenders came face to face on Sunday and their meeting did not disappoint as Cardiff City Ladies and Charlton Athletic battled out a 3-3 draw.

Cardiff started the game strongly and took a two-goal lead into the break, both scored by Kelly Aldridge. The Addicks hit back after the restart with a double from Charley Clifford levelling the scores by the hour mark, only for Cardiff to retake the lead through leading scorer Cori Williams. The South Wales looked to be on their way to an important win but Charlton were to have the final say and earned themselves a share of the spoils when Amy Howlett grabbed a late equaliser.

The result means that Cardiff remain in second place, two points behind leaders Brighton & Hove Albion but still possessing a game in hand, while Charlton are a further point adrift in third.
