PILCS continue to lead the chase in the Welsh Premier Women's League following a hard fought 2-1 win away to Cardiff City FC.
After a goalless first half, Amy Thrupp opened the scoring for PILCS just before the hour mark. City battled back and looked to have salvaged a share of the spoils when Alicia Davies equalised. However with two minutes remaining, Thrupp scored her second goal to hand PILCS a precious victory which sees them narrow the gap on leaders Cardiff Met Ladies to four points, with a game in hand.
Swansea City are back in the top three, moving above Cardiff City FC with a 4-0 victory over Cwmbran Celtic. Jodie Passmore put the Swans in front with five minutes on the clock and just after the half hour, an Ella Meaney own goal doubled their advantage. Passmore completed her double early in the second half and Sophie Hancock rounded off the scoring four minutes afterwards.
