Durham Women have agreed to the transfer of midfielder Zoe Ness to Mallbackens IF in Sweden.
The young Scottish international will take up an excellent opportunity of a professional full time contract in Sweden. She is the second Scottish player to join Mallbackens in a matter of weeks following Glasgow City defender Eilish McSorley's move.
Durham manager Lee Sanders said: "After being with the club so long, Zoe has been given a great opportunity at the high end of Swedish football and I'm certainly not going to deny her the opportunity. She was under contract with us but I have always stated I would never take that kind of chance away from anyone. She is a tremendous young talent and I wish her all the best on the move.
"She has grown up with myself and has played with Gaby Banks, Meg Lawson, Lauren Jordinson, Beth Hepple, Vic Linsley, Jess White and others for many years now and they have all grown up together as well as a lot of other people involved at the club and I am certain she will be missed.
"Of course it's sad to see her leave but pleasing also as it shows what kind of player we are capable of growing at this club and it means someone else will get their opportunity to step into the squad and take a place.
"I wish her the best of luck on a fantastic chance to play professionally in a foreign country."
Durham have also announced that several players - Jordan Atkinson, Anna Moorhouse, Victoria Linsley, Emily Scott, Jemma Purfield, Beth Hepple, Jen Jennings, Caroline Dixon, Sarah Wilson and Ellie Christon - have signed new contracts with the club.
