Three more sign on at Oxford
 Women's Football News 15 Jan 2015
Three more sign on at Oxford - 15 Jan 2015 - Women's Football NewsOxford United are pleased to announce that three players have signed new one-year deals with the club.
Amy Chivers, Holly Pickett (pictured) and Sahara Osborne-Ricketts have all played key roles in the club's development. Amy is a flexible defender who can play a variety of positions at the back, which is invaluable to the team. Holly is a valuable member of the squad, a hard working player who can play either wide left or right and uses the ball well, while Sahara is the team captain and one of the side's most consistent players last season.
"Sahara leads by example," manager Les Taylor said. "She is an integral part of our defence, confident on the ball and constantly available to receive the ball. She is also an important link between the manager and the rest of the squad.
"Amy and Holly are also home grown players who have done really well for us and both players will have benefited from the experiences of last season. I am extremely pleased that all three players have committed to another season with Oxford United in WSL 2."
Captain Osborne-Ricketts said she was delighted to be able to lead the team again this season. "I am very pleased to sign for Oxford again this season," she said. "Last season was a big learning curve for me and the team, but we go into this season knowing what to expect from the league this time around and I think this will help us."
"I am happy to have extended my contract for another year," added Pickett. "I have gained a lot of experience playing in the WSL and hope to develop and progress more this season."
Chivers said: "I'm really happy to sign for another year. Pre-season has already started and there's a great buzz which makes the season coming even more exciting."
