Cardiff Met Ladies stretched their lead at the top of the Welsh Premier Women's League to ten points with a 3-1 victory away to Wrexham.
Erin Murray gave the reigning Champions the lead after seven minutes and she added a second just ahead of half time. Robyn Pinder wrapped up the points from the penalty spot midway through the second half, before Amber Bailey grabbed a late consolation goal for Wrexham.
Cardiff Met were further boosted by the news that second placed PILCS went down to a surprise 3-1 defeat at home to Llandudno. Stephanie Walsh put Llandudno in front after six minutes with Hope Suominen equalising during the first half. After the break, Llandudno restored their lead through Stacey Treadwell and Sophie Owen completed a fine victory with twelve minutes remaining.
Swansea City are back in the top three after scoring six times without reply away to Aberystwyth Town. Chloe Lloyd netted the only goal of the first half for the Swans and she added a second from the penalty spot early in the second half. Emma Beynon made it three, before Swansea doubled their tally in the last ten minutes with further goals from Sarah Adamson, Kelly Newcombe and Beynon again.
Port Talbot Town moved up to sixth place on the back of a 4-1 victory over Rhyl & Prestatyn. Hayley Williams fired them ahead in the eighteenth minute and after Catherine Archer had levelled the scores, Sian Scanell netted twice just before half time. Nicole Rawlingson wrapped up the victory midway through the second half with the fourth goal.
