Coventry City turned up the heat at the top of the Northern Division with a 4-0 win against Stoke City which doubles their lead to six points.
The Sky Blues got off to a flying start with Amber Hughes scoring twice inside the opening fourteen minutes and Helen Dermody added a third in first half injury time. Dani Selmes then marked her debut since recently signing for Wolves with the final goal on the hour mark.
Preston North End meanwhile kept up their amazing away form in the league with another victory, 3-2 at Sporting Club Albion. Laura Walker gave Preston the lead from the penalty spot on the stroke of half time and Yasmine Swarbrick netted a second early in the second half. Hazzanna Parnell pulled a goal back for Albion but the two-goal advantage was quickly restored through Nikki Emery. Albion staged a late rally and Parnell gave them late hope when she scored her second with five minutes remaining but Preston held on for a result which lifts them up into fourth place.
