Portsmouth maintained their title challenge with a 5-0 victory away to Copsewood (Coventry), which takes them to within four points of leaders Cardiff City Ladies.
Pompey took the lead during first half injury time when Charley Wilson scored from close range to break the home side's resistance. After the break Shannon Sievwright doubled the advantage with a strike from 25 yards and then Sarah Kempson went on to round off the victory by scoring a hat-trick.
Plymouth Argyle claimed their first victory of the year when they narrowly defeated Keynsham Town 2-1. Ezme Wells put Argyle ahead with fifteen minutes on the clock but Keynsham hit back and levelled the scores before half time via a Jodie Chubb own goal. Emily Mousley curled home the winning strike deep into the second half to earn Plymouth a result which takes them further away from the bottom two, which still includes Keynsham.
