Radcliffe Olympic have performed heroics in the FA Women's Cup this season but their interest in the Premier League Plate is over after they were beaten 2-1 by Huddersfield Town in their quarter final tie.
Radcliffe did take a first half lead through Danni Saulter and the chance of claiming another higher level scalp was in prospect but after the break, Huddersfield hit back strongly. Two goals in a four minute spell from Emily Heckler and Samantha Conroy turned matters around in Huddersfield's favour and they held on to book their place in the last four.
Huddersfield will be at home in the semi finals to Shanklin, who maintained their excellent run in the competition with a fine 1-0 win away to South East Division One leaders Milton Keynes Dons. Chloe Parkes scored the only goal of the game for the Isle of Wight side to take them to within one game of a national final.
