ICA Sports FC have launched a new youth development project and the first phase of this work is the establishment of a Girls Only Football team for those currently in School Years 2 and 3 and new girls are encouraged to come along, join in and see if football is the sport for them.
Sessions run on a weekly basis at The Fleet in Fletton, are fun-based and designed to help develop basic skill and technique for girls who have not played football before.
Our coach is an FA Qualified Level 2 Youth Specialist and has eight years' experience of coaching girls football from U8 to U18. He is fully CRB cleared and hold Emergency Aid & Safeguarding Children qualifications.
In addition, some of the clubs other highly experienced coaches will make guest appearances to provide an occasional variation of coaching style to enhance learning and development.
The team will participate in some summer festivals and tournaments and then in September will join the S-Tech Cambridgeshire Girls league and will participate in regular Football Festivals.
If you know a girl currently in school year 2 or 3 who would like to give football a try you can get more details from Steve Purnell on (07964) 496259 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
