A last gasp equaliser gave Blackburn Rovers a valuable point from a 1-1 draw against Sporting Club Albion.
Kirsty Allen put Albion in front shortly before half time and the home side looked to be on course for all three point until deep into injury time when Lynda Shepherd grabbed an equaliser for fourth placed Rovers.
Preston North End have cemented themselves in fifth place after running out 3-0 winners away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are starting to run out of games at the bottom. Sarah Chadwick gave Preston the lead on the half hour and Chelsea Flanagan made it two early in the second half, before Lauren Walker crowned the win via a 25-yard strike.
Huddersfield Town recovered from an early setback to beat Nottingham Forest 4-1 and consolidate their position in mid-table. Forest, who are battling to get out of the bottom two, took an early lead through Andi Bell but Natalie Brace ensured that the scoreline was level at half time. Four minutes into the second half, Camille Clarke put Huddersfield ahead for the first time, Leah White extended their lead and Emily Heckler netted the fourth goal late on.
