Cardiff Met Ladies picked up one of the wins they need in order to retain the Welsh Premier Women's League, as they defeated Llandudno 8-0.
After Emily Allen had given Met a ninth minute lead, Erin Murray added a brace of goals before Ellis Sargent made it four on the half hour. Steph Turner increased their advantage five minutes later and Murray completed her hat-trick before half time. During the second half, Chloe O'Connor and Abi Fever added further goals to leave their side needing eight points from their final four games.
PILCS are not giving up the chase in second place and kept the gap at eight points by winning 6-1 away to Newcastle Emlyn. Amy Thrupp led the scoring with a hat-trick and there was a goal apiece from Lyndsey Davies, Kate Jeremiah and Ceri Hudson.
Aberystwyth Town's hopes of climbing off the bottom of the table appear to be fading after they were beaten 5-1 by Cardiff City FC. Lisa Bird hit a hat-trick for City and the other goals came from Shannon Evans, via a 25-yard free kick, and 16-year-old Ellie Wenger.
Swansea City maintained their chances of at least a top two finish with a 7-0 victory over Rhyl & Prestatyn. Chloe Lloyd netted two of the goals for the Swans along with debutant Sam Sweeney, Jodie Passmore, Emma Beynon, Katy Hosford and an own goal.
Port Talbot Town recorded one of their best results of the season when beating Wrexham 4-1. Courteney Thomas had a great day in front of goal as she netted all four goals to help take her side level on points with their opponents.
