Crewe launch Women's Football Academy

Crewe Alexandra has launched its new Womenfs Football Academy for the 2015-16 season at Reaseheath College as part of the ladies football clubfs development plan. 
 
The club and the College have been working together for several seasons with the team already currently training and playing at the College to compliment the already existing links between the Football Clubs Academy and the College.
 
Starting in September 2015, the Ladies Football Academy is offering training and a two-year course of study for school leavers and players between 16-18 years old.
 
The course will include:
 
8 Hours of Specialist Coaching from Crewe Alexandra Football Club and Crewe Alexandra Ladies Football Club a week.
Link into the Crewe Alexandra Ladies Player Pathway Programme
Personalised Strength and Conditioning Programme
Level 2 or 3 Qualification in a sports specific programme
Level FA Coaches Qualification
Level 2 Gym Instructors Qualification
Dietary/Nutrition Advice Plans
Access to Physiotherapists and Sports Therapists
Scholarship Programme/Opportunities to work in USA
Support in Job/University Applications/Work Experience
Entry into British Colleges League/Tournaments.
 
Players with train, play and study at Reaseheath and the course will be linked into the Crewe Alexandra Ladies teams which currently hosts age groups at Under-18, Under-21 and first team.
 
Nick Pearce of Crewe Alexandra Ladies has been involved within the beginning of the project in partnership with the Alexandra Community Associations Female Football Development Plan and has with the support of Reaseheath college has managed to develop the ladies football club into the best team in Cheshire as they are currently County Cup Champions.
 
The link between the college and the football club has been successful for many years and has seen the menfs Academy develop into one of the most reputable in the country. With this programme we are determined to help develop the ladies club into the same structure and help support the game regionally and nationally.
 
The course will be delivered by the Coaches of the Ladies Football Club and ex-Northern Ireland Internal and previous Crewe Alexandra Player Steve Jones. Steve is currently studying his A licence and has played with and against some of the biggest names in World Football, most notably Cristiano Ronaldo!
