Anna Signeul today confirmed her squad for next week's friendly international match against Australia at Falkirk Stadium.
Scotland have just returned from the 2015 Cyprus Cup where they managed to beat the Korean Republic and the Netherlands. Scotland will start their UEFA Euro 2017 qualification campaign in September with the qualifying groups drawn on April 15th.
Australia - ranked number 10 in the world - are busy gearing up for this summer's FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada, where they are in Group D alongside Sweden, Nigeria and the United States.
It will be the first time the two countries have met since Scotland defeated Australia 4-2 at the 2014 Cyprus Cup - a result that Anna is keen to repeat next week. The match takes place at Falkirk Stadium on Thursday 9th April, kick off 2.30pm.
She told www.scottishfa.co.uk: "The result is always important because it gives you a good feeling and we want a good feeling before we start the next campaign - it shows if we have progressed. We had a really good result against Australia last year and that was a great achievement from us.
"It's one of the important things about games like these. You improve your status, your image and you gain respect from other countries.
"Australia are now qualifying in the Asia group of the World Cup which is much tougher. They came second in their group and done really really well so we are facing a very strong team. Fast players, physically strong - they're a little bit like American players. Very attack minded."
