Swansea step up challenge as PILCS falter
 Women's Football News 12 Apr 2015
PILCS' title hopes in the Welsh Premier Women's League were dealt a savage blow as they were beaten 5-0 by Port Talbot Town.
Courteney Thomas have Port Talbot the lead after five minutes with Jessica Wadey and Lauren Amor adding further goals ahead of the interval. Shona Davies put the home side further ahead during the second half, before Thomas rounded off the scoring late on with her second goal for a victory which takes Port Talbot up to fifth place.
Swansea City meanwhile kept themselves in the running and now look to be the main title challengers to Cardiff Met Ladies, after they ran out 7-1 winners away to Rhyl & Prestatyn. Chloe Lloyd put the Swans in front early on with Emma Beynon and Kelly Newcombe also getting on target just after the half hour. In the second half, Katie Osford and Sara Adams increased Swansea's lead before Lloyd netted the sixth from the penalty spot. Amy Webster pulled one back for Rhyl & Prestatyn but Swansea completed their tally when Newcombe scored her second.
