Brighton & Hove Albion are still stretching the pace at the top of the table after running out 4-0 winners over Plymouth Argyle.
The first half ended goalless but on the hour mark, Lucy Somes opened the scoring for the Seagulls and they went on to seal the points with further strikes from Sophie Perry, Deanna Cooper and Vicky Ashton-Jones.
Portsmouth continue to have matters in their hands though, they stay two points behind after winning 3-1 away to Keynsham Town. Pompey led at half time through goals from Gemma Hillier and Shannon Sievwright and after Leanne Lapham had reduced the arrears from the penalty spot, Ini Umotong wrapped up the win with the third goal, ten minutes from time.
Cardiff City Ladies' title chances may have received a fatal blow, going down to West Ham Utd on the second successive Sunday. Vicky Kinsman grabbed the only goal of the game as the Hammers continue to finish the campaign strongly.
Tottenham Hotspur saw their winning run brought to a halt as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Lewes. Kirstie Spice was on target for the Rookettes, with Spurs replying through Wendy Martin.
Copsewood (Coventry) meanwhile gave their survival chances a shot in the arm with a precious 1-0 victory over Queen's Park Rangers. Sarah Rowles scored the only goal of the game during the first half to take her team to within three points of safety.
