The Northern Division title race remains neck and neck as the two main protagonists both recorded victories on Sunday.
Sheffield FC hold onto the leadership on goal difference after a Suzanne Davies brace and Rebecca Lee ensured they won 3-1 against Stoke City, whose consolation came from Laura Garside.
Coventry City stay level on points following their 6-4 victory over Huddersfield Town. Dani Seles and Ashleigh Neville each netted twice for the Sky Blues along with Carly Davies and Amber Hughes, with Huddersfield replying through Sam Conroy, Kate Mallin, Emily Heckler and an own goal.
Bradford City are all but assured of a top four finish for the second successive season after they defeated Nottingham Forest 4-1. Lucy Sowerby netted a brace for the Bantams along with Chantelle O'Hara and Rachel Lee, while Natasha Meade was on target for Forest.
Preston North End and Sporting Club Albion meanwhile shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Kelly Allen gave Albion a first half lead which was cancelled out by Chelsea Flanagan, the point keeping Preston in fifth and almost ensuring safety for Albion.
Derby County made it four wins in six league matches and look set to retain their Northern Division status following their 4-1 win over Newcastle Utd, who are now in the bottom two. Emily Jeffery and Cara Newton each scored twice for the in-form Rams, Beth Gardener replying for Newcastle.
