Cardiff Met Ladies are on the verge of retaining their Welsh Premier Women's League title after running out emphatic winners over Newcastle Emlyn.
The university side require one more point to be confirmed as Champions but, realistically, have an enormous advantage in goal difference over Swansea City should the Swans win all of their remaining games after scoring nineteen times without reply.
Erin Murray led the spree for the students with a seven-goal haul and Abie Fever weighed in with a hat-trick. Chloe O'Connor, Emily Allen and Ellie Sargent all hit doubles and the tally was completed by Sophie Scherschel, Stacey Ayling and Georgia Bridges.
PILCS stay in second place but their chances of finishing as runners-up took a knock as they were beaten 4-3 by Wrexham, who move up to fifth. PILCS scored twice in the opening five minutes through Lyndsey Davies and Kate Jeremiah, with Becky Pritchard replying for the home side straight away. After the break, Laura Mitchell netted a brace to put Wrexham in front for the first time and although Davies scored her second goal in reply, Pritchard gave Wrexham the points by grabbing the winner late on.
