Coventry City kept hold of their three point lead at the top of the Northern Division after running out 4-0 winners away to third placed Blackburn Rovers.
The first half was goalless but the Sky Blues opened the scoring on the hour mark through Ashleigh Neville. Maz Gauntlett added a second with five minutes remaining and Coventry crowned the win with two late goals from Dani Selmes.
Sheffield FC stay on Coventry's heels. with a game in hand, as they also won 4-0 against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Suzanne Davies gave the Yorkshire side the lead after just four minutes but the second half belonged to Emma Johnson, who netted the second early after the restart and went on to add two injury time goals to complete her hat-trick.
Bradford City have replaced Blackburn Rovers in third place after they shared a goalless draw with Stoke City, who finally drew their first game of the season following 19 matches in which they either won or lost.
Nottingham Forest's relegation worries are all but over, thanks to a 5-3 victory away to Preston North End. Andi Bell scored twice inside the opening four minutes for Forest and Elizabeta Ejupi added a third just before the half hour. After the break, Preston fought back with Aimee Cleaver and Chelsea Flanagan reducing the arrears before Bell netted her hat-trick goal with five minutes remaining. Laura Walker gave Preston late hope by pulling one back but Forest sealed the points in injury time through Natasha Meade.
