Chelsea book Final date
 Women's Football News 5 May 2015

Chelsea book Final date - 5 May 2015 - Women's Football NewsChelsea have secured a Wembley date with Notts County after Ji So-Yun's last gasp winner against Manchester City which gave them a 1-0 win in their semi final at Adams Park.

The FA WSL 1 leaders are through to the Final for the first time since 2012 and are one step away from picking up their first major trophy after narrowly getting the better of the Continental Cup holders.

Eniola Aluko could have put Chelsea ahead within two minutes after advancing down the left wing and working her way into the box only for the England international to hit the post. Nikita Parris then had a chance for City only two minutes later when Toni Duggan and Demi Stokes combined well to find the striker but her shot sailed over the bar.

The pace of the game slowed thereafter before another Parris shot was parried into the path of Natasha Harding who saw her effort blocked away by a resolute Chelsea defence just after the break.

City striker Duggan had the chance to put City ahead in the 78th minute but couldn't get enough connection on Parris' cross to trouble Blues keeper Hedvig Lindahl.

With six minutes left, Chelsea substitute Drew Spence held the ball up well before laying it off to Ji who scored from 20 yards to leave City devastated and settle the contest for Chelsea.

Chelsea: Hedvig Lindahl, Hannah Blundell, Gilly Flaherty, Niamh Fahey, Claire Rafferty, Millie Bright, Katie Chapman, Gemma Davison (sub Ana Borges 73mins), Laura Coombs (sub Drew Spence 73mins), Ji So-Yun, Eniola Aluko (sub Jackie Groenen 87mins). Subs not used: Marie Hourihan, Marija Banusic.
