West Ham Utd finish as runners-up in the Southern Division after Brighton & Hove Albion were beaten 6-2 by Tottenham Hotspur in their final match. A win would have seen the Seagulls take second place but instead, Dionne Manning netted twice for Spurs along with Chloe Bassett, Frances Gamble, Jonea Peters and Annabelle Colston. Spurs can actually pip Brighton to third place if they win their three remaining games. Lewes meanwhile continued their good form and will finish outside of the bottom two after Ella Turvil and Dominique Beckett gave them a 2-1 success away to Gillingham.
The last match in the Northern Division saw a victory for Huddersfield Town, Rachel Stuart scoring twice and Rebecca Sherrard adding the other as they beat Guiseley AFC Vixens 3-2.
In the FA WSL Development League, there was a change of leadership in the Northern Division. Beth Donoghue and Mollie Green each netted doubles as Liverpool went top by defeating Notts County 7-0. Mayumi Gillam, Lucy Staniforth and Hannah Dale joined them on the scoresheet by adding the other goals. Third placed Birmingham City lost a little ground as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Durham Women, despite a goal from Cheryl Edwards.
Chelsea could have been crowned as Southern Division Champions on Sunday but they will have to wait after being held to a 3-3 draw by Oxford Utd. Gemma Simmonds scored twice and Nicole Barrett added the other for Oxford whilst Atlanta Primus hit a double along with Millie Farrow in reply for Chelsea. Only Arsenal can still catch Chelsea's points tally and this remains the case after a crushing 9-1 victory over Bristol Academy, which was spearheaded by a five-goal blast by Evie Clarke. Georgia Allen weighed in with a hat-trick and the Gunners' tally was completed by Frances Steele.
