Everton take victory into break
 Women's Football News 31 May 2015
Everton 3 (Williams 33, Boye-Hlorkah 44, Hinnigan 51) Watford 0
Everton cruised to a 3-0 victory over Watford at the Select Security Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Paige Williams, Channy Boye-Hlorkah and captain Michelle Hinnigan ensured three points for Andy Spence's side.
Everton started brightly with Dan Turner rising to send a header crashing off the crossbar after a driving run and teasing cross for Danielle Lea. The Toffees regularly threatened from wide positions and soon after, Paige Williams' cross was headed just over by Kelly Jones.
Everton nearly were in front when Lucy Whipp used a great turn of pace to beat her marker and drill a low pass across the face of the goal only for Channy Boye-Hlorkah, on her first start since a two-year injury lay off, to blaze over.
Williams then went close just before the quarter hour mark with a shot from distance which dipped just over the joint of the goal, but after thirty minutes she put her side in front as she bundled in Dan Turner's whipped corner from close range. It was the reward which Everton's first half dominance deserved.
They nearly doubled their lead minutes later but Dan Turner's stretching leg couldn't connect with another fine cross from Lea. However, just prior to half time, Boye-Hlorkah sent a rocket into the top corner of the Watford's goal to give Everton a comfortable two-goal lead going into the break.
Soon after the restart, Dan Turner was again the provider, this time for Michelle Hinnigan. Turner had skilfully broken away from the Watford full back to fire a low cross into the six yard box for the Everton skipper to poke home.
The visitors almost got themselves a consolation goal late on but Kirstie Levell was equal to Sasha Adamson's flick, turning into on the post before the Blues were able to clear their lines and earn a first clean sheet of the season.
