The top two teams in the Scottish Women's Premier League have pulled seven points clear of their nearest rivals after both recorded victories and third placed Rangers were shocked at Hearts.
There was little sign of a Cup Final hangover as Glasgow City defeated Forfar Farmington 8-1 to stay at the top of the table. Abbi Grant, Clare Shine and Rhonda Jones netted two goals apiece and they were joined on the scoresheet by Georgie Rafferty and Jo Love.
Hibernian meanwhile put their midweek disappointment behind them with a 3-0 victory over local rivals Spartans to keep themselves level on points with City. Heather Richards and Lizzie Arnot were both on target for Hibs, along with an own goal.
Hearts produced one of their best ever results when winning 1-0 against Rangers. Michelle Faughnan scored the only goal of the game during the first half to earn Hearts their first victory against a team in the top six.
Aberdeen have drawn level on points with Rangers after their clash with Celtic ended 1-1. The Dons looked to have ended a great week for their club by taking a 72nd minute lead through Donna Paterson but Maddy Fulton hit back to earn Celtic a share of the spoils.
Hamilton Academicals celebrated their second win in successive weeks, a 2-1 victory over Inverness City which takes them out of the bottom three. Tiffany Kawana Waugh and Gillian Inglis scored the goals for the rejuvenated Accies.
Stirling University consolidated themselves in mid-table as they beat Hutchison Vale 2-0. Both of Stirling's goals came in the first half, Nicole Pullar giving them the lead and Jenny Godfrey heading in the second.
