Lucy Bronze is amongst the eight nominees for the Golden Ball, which is the award given to the FIFA Women's World Cup's player of the tournament.
The Manchester City defender has played a prominent role as England reached the semi finals, their best ever run in the competition, scoring the winning goal in each of their victories over Norway and Canada as well as giving eye catching performances at right back.
Lucy is only the second England player to be shortlisted for the award, after Kelly Smith.
The eight-player shortlist for the Golden Ball is:

The shortlist was selected by FIFA's technical study group and the winner will be announced following the World Cup Final between United States and Japan on Sunday.
Jiali Tang (China), Ada Hegerberg (Norway) and Kadeisha Buchanan (Canada) are the candidates for the Young Player award whilst the Goalkeeper award will be decided between Nadine Angerer (Germany), Ayumi Kaihori (Japan) and Hope Solo (United States).
