Cambridge make double signing
 Women's Football News 24 Jul 2015

Cambridge make double signing - 24 Jul 2015 - Women's Football NewsCambridge United Women FC are pleased to announce a double signing for the new season.

Central midfielder Tahnee Perfect and Attacking player Isabella Simmons have both signed for the club and takes Steve Edwards' summer additions up to four.

Both of the new signings are 16 years of age and are products of the Cambridge United Centre Of Excellence and have impressed the coaching staff during trials and pre season. Manager Edwards is full of praise for the two young starlets.

"I am thrilled to be bringing both Tahnee and Bella into the club," he said. "Despite their young age and relative inexperience in terms of senior football, the talent they both is hugely impressive and I genuinely feel that they are exciting prospects to watch out for.

"They bring enthusiasm and energy to the group and you can get an immediate sense of their passion for football. Tahnee is a very technical player, calm on the ball and rarely gives away possession with fitness levels that are up there with the best at the club.

"Bella is a more attacking option with fantastic skills at her feet and she knows where the goal is. I think our supporters will really take to both players and I look forward greatly to seeing their progress this season."

Tahnee couldn't hide her excitement about having signed for the club as she makes her first step into senior football: "I am very excited about joining Cambridge United women's team. The ladies and the coaching staff have made me feel extremely welcome.

"I am enjoying pre season and can't wait for the games to begin and thoroughly look forward to the future ahead with this team."

Bella echoed her new team mate's sentiments: "Since joining Cambridge United women's team I've already started to improve as an individual and a team player. It has created many opportunities that I can't wait to explore. The team is strong, welcoming and kind and I hope to achieve great things with them this season."
