Whilst the top two in the Scottish Women's Premier League were battling out a 3-3 draw, Aberdeen consolidated themselves in third place with a 2-1 success away to Spartans.
Rebecca Dempster and Lauren Gordon scored the goals for Aberdeen whilst the home side's consolation came from Claire Crosbie.
Celtic follow on after registering an excellent 5-0 win over Rangers in the Old Firm derby clash. Ruesha Littlejohn gave the Ghirls a perfect start by giving them a second minute lead and Joanne Paton added a second on the half hour via a 25-yard strike. Early in the second half, Littlejohn netted her second and Kylla Sjoman quickly made it four, with Chloe Craig rounding off the scoring from the penalty spot.
Stirling University are looking a good bet to finish on top of the bottom section after they strengthened their position with a 4-1 victory over Inverness City. Rachel Donaldson, Christie Kerr, Jade Gallon and Ashley McDonald all scored a goal apiece for Stirling who now have a five point cushion over their nearest rivals.
Forfar Farmington leapfrogged Hearts in the table by beating them 2-0. Tori Sousa got Forfar off to a flying start as she gave them the lead in the opening minute and Jade McLaren secured the points with the second goal, early in the second half.
Hutchison Vale gave their survival hopes a huge boost with a vital 2-1 success away to Hamilton Academical. Laura Gavin netted both goals for Hutchie, including a late winner, either side of a reply for the home side from Courtney McAvoy.
