Chelsea too strong for battling Watford
 Women's Football News 19 Aug 2015
Watford 0 Chelsea 3 (Primus 32, Brett 44, Farrow 80)
Chelsea manager Emma Hayes was able to leave most of her star names at home but her second string still proved too much for Watford in their FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup clash.
Atlanta Primus, Jodie Brett and Millie Farrow all scored for the Blues in a 3-0 victory which takes them to within three points of group leaders Arsenal.
Gilly Flaherty and Gemma Davison were the only first choice players on show for the Blues, who were always comfortable against WSL 2's bottom side.
Chelsea had to wait until the 32nd minute to break the deadlock as Stacie Donnelly's tackle broke for Jodie Brett, who found 18-year-old Atlanta Primus and her low drive flashed into the net.
The visitors doubled their lead a minute before half time as Davison's mishit free kick was diverted by Brett, with her equally undercooked effort trickling into the bottom corner.
Watford gave a better account of themselves in the second half and Anneka Nuttall could have pulled one back for Watford when she was put through by Megan Wynne but Chelsea goalkeeper Marie Hourihan made a very good block.
The Blues' third goal arrived with ten minutes left when Primus' excellent pass played in substitute Millie Farrow, who calmly slid the ball past Trippoli Witney.
Watford: Trippoli Witney, Nicole Pepper, Leighanne Robe, Mollie Burgess, Grace Gillard, Josie Green (sub Emily Heaslip 45mins), Phoebe Read, Tricia Gould (sub Megan Wynne 53mins), Stacie Donnelly, Adekite Fatuga-Dada, Anneka Nuttall (sub Ellie Mason 74mins). Subs not used: Deger Zekai, Kim Farrow, Poppy Jones, Jordan Littleboy.

Chelsea: Marie Hourihan, Ana Borges (sub Jenna Dear 59mins), Laura Rafferty, Gilly Flaherty (sub Hannah Blundell 71mins), Anne Meiwald, Jenna Legg, Laura Coombs, Jodie Brett, Gemma Davison (sub Millie Farrow 53mins), Rosanna Ayane, Atlanta Primus. Subs not used: Frances Kitching, Ocean Rolandson.

Attendance: 330
