Linfield lead on penultimate day
 Women's Football News 21 Aug 2015
With one match left to play in the Northern Ireland Women's Premier League season, Linfield still have matters in their own hands after they defeated Sion Swifts 6-1 on Wednesday night.
Megan Bell netted twice on her debut for the club along with Kirsty McGuinness, who also contributed a brace, whilst Clare Timoney and Deborah McCarthy also notched a goal apiece.
Second placed Newry City ensured that the title race will go the wire, thanks to a 4-1 victory away to Cliftonville. Aimee Mackin led the scoring for Newry with a hat-trick and Alison McMaster was also on the scoresheet.
Glentoran Belfast Utd can still climb above Crusaders Strikers into third place after beating them 6-2 in their meeting. Fresh from their exploits in Europe, Lauren Wade hit a hat-trick for Glentoran along with Katie Martin, Jessica Foy and Ashley McBride.
Ballymena Allstars will now finish at the foot of the table after they were beaten 2-0 by Mid Ulster Ladies, who scored through Chloe McCarron and Cathy Rees.
