Eastern Region League
Billericay Town have been perennial title challengers in the league during the past few seasons and they have got off to a good start this time, winning their opening Premier Division fixture 7-2 against Leverstock Green. Vicky Kinsman led the scoring with a four-goal haul, Katie Whitehead added a double and Lucy Wyatt was also on target. Newly promoted AFC Sudbury also began well with a 4-1 victory over Colchester Town, Sophie Jeffery netting twice along with Kayleigh Steed and Enya Moore. Donna McGuigan and Nicole Perschsky contributed two goals apiece as Stevenage Ladies won 4-3 away to Great Wakering and Brentwood Town started off with a victory over Great Shelford, Carla Rose grabbing the only goal of the game.
London & South East League
In the clash between two newly promoted sides in the Premier Division, it was Herne Bay who emerged as 4-1 winners over Camden Town. Harriet Chapman and Daniella Farmer each netted twice for the Kent side with Eleftheria Taladianou replying. AFC Wimbledon meanwhile defeated Bexhill Utd 3-0 thanks to Jessica Trimnell, Libby Suchley and Kelly-Jade Whelan. Danielle Harrison, Emily Hart and Hannah Titchener were all on target as London Corinthians edged out Carshalton Athletic by the odd goal in five and Eastbourne Town won 1-0 against Aylesford, Delph Nonin scoring. Danielle Griffiths netted the only goal of the game as Leyton Orient opened up by beating Fulham FC Foundation 1-0.
West Midlands League
TNS Ladies have made an ominous start to the new season with an 11-1 victory over Walsall. Emily Ridge and Laura Morris each scored four times, with one apiece from Sam Berry, Sophie Edwards and Chloe Wilkinson completing the tally for the Saints who narrowly missed out on the title last season. Kingshurst Sporting meanwhile won 3-2 against Crusaders. Wednesfield Town defeated Leamington Lions 2-1 and Wrockwardine Wood were also 2-1 victors over Knowle.
