SSE Women's FA Cup - Road to the Final
Ilminster Town Ladies FC play in the Eastern Division of the South West Women's League and are in their second season at that level.
The club enjoyed a successful season in 2009-10 when they won the Somerset County Women's League title as well as becoming the inaugural winners of the Somerset FA Junior Women's Cup. They were promoted as a result but could not maintain their status and returned to County League level the following year.
However a resurgent Ilminster side were to bounce back in 2013-14 and win the Somerset County League title for the second time, and came very close to another double when they lost out in the County Cup Final to Brislington on a penalty shootout.
They returned to the South West Women's League and secured themselves a fourth place in their first season back at this level.
The team is managed by Craig Stuckey who is assisted by Alice Charlton, who has a fantastic scoring record for the club. Darren Manley undertakes the role of club Chairman.
Bristol Ladies Union FC was formed in June 2009 from the merger of the University of Bristol Women's Football Club and the girls sections of Shirehampton Colts FC and Rockleaze Rangers FC.
Player participation, enjoyment and development are central to the club's ethos and players of all abilities and backgrounds are welcome to join. The club provides coaching and playing opportunities for age groups from five year olds to senior level under the umbrella of one club which is dedicated to girls' and women's football.
The club's first team plays in the Premier Division of South West Women's Football League, with U10 to U18 teams playing in the Bristol Girls League. All teams play their home games at the University of Bristol's Coombe Dingle Sports Complex.
Bristol Ladies Union have come close to success on a number of occasions, finishing as Premier Division runners-up in 2012-13 and have been beaten finalists in the County Cup in each of the last two seasons.
This summer, Javier Gorodi was appointed as the club's new Head Coach with Sophie Morgan moving to the Secretary's role. Cheryl Baber continues as first team captain. A new Development team was formed last season under the guidance of Rich Cowley and they had a successful start, winning the County Cup at the first attempt.
