Stoke City have gone to the top of the Northern Division after beating previous leaders Sporting Club Albion 4-2 at the Britannia Stadium.
Kelly Darby sent Albion into an early lead but Stoke hit back strongly with Louise Roberts netting twice and Laura Garside adding another before half time. Hazzana Parnell gave Albion hope by pulling a goal back late on but Stoke were to have the final say, Abby Hunt rounding off a great night for her club with the final goal.
Stoke therefore replace Albion as table toppers, although Derby County will have an opportunity to surpass them on Thursday night.
Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End meanwhile battled out a goalless draw which leaves Blackburn three points off the early pace and Preston in mid-table.
Bradford City leapt up to fifth place by beating Guiseley AFC Vixens 5-1. Alarna Fuller and Olivia Thackray each scored twice along with Shauna Legge.
In the Southern Division, leaders Brighton & Hove Albion cemented themselves in top spot by beating South Coast rivals Lewes 2-0. Charlotte Gurr opened the scoring for the Seagulls with three minutes on the clock and Amy Taylor added the second ahead of half time.
Portsmouth meanwhile won 3-0 against Queen's Park Rangers to move into second place, one point behind the leaders. Lucy Quinn and Charley Wilson ensured that Pompey led by two goals at half time, with Shannon Sievwright scoring the third.
