Belles pegged back by late goals
 Women's Football News 11 Sep 2015
Doncaster Rovers Belles 3 (Lipka 23, Sweetman-Kirk 34,78) Everton 3 (Boye-Hlorkah 76,90, Stewart 87)
The Belles are set for a tense end of the season after Everton fought back from two goals down to take a point at the Keepmoat Stadium.
A brace from Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah and an Ellie Stewart strike cancelled out Courtney Sweetman-Kirk's double and Kasia Lipka's wonder goal.
There was an early chance for the Belles as Bethany England found space on the right but she couldn't find Sweetman-Kirk in space in the box. Fantastic counter play from Kasia Lipka almost allowed Sweetman-Kirk to open the scoring but her effort fired just wide.
Everton were enjoying the majority of the early possession but couldn't find a way round the Belles defence. The visitors should have been in front though on ten minutes when a cross from the left found an unmarked Boye-Hlorkah but she could only power a header wide.
England then went close for the Belles heading straight at Kirstie Levell in the Everton goal. Down the other end, a free kick lofted from the right found the head of Ellie Stewart but she couldn't steer the ball into the far corner.
It was a nervy game but the Belles took the lead in superb fashion, Lipka picking the ball up 30-yards from goal and hitting a rocket into the top corner for her first goal of the season.
The goal gave the Belles confidence and they doubled their lead when top scorer Sweetman-Kirk latched on to a through ball and slotted home at the second attempt.
Boye-Hlorkah had a glorious opportunity to pull a goal back but her header trickled wide after pressure from Nicola Hobbs.
After the break the Belles pushed forward and after a fantastic ball from Sweetman-Kirk, England struck just over the bar. However, with 15 minutes to play, Boye-Hlorkah, who had threatened all night, headed home from a corner to leave a nervy finish.
Sweetman-Kirk was seemingly having no Everton comeback though, latching on the England's pass to fire home from 18 yards only a minute later.
The lifeline came when Ellie Stewart pulled a second back in bizarre fashion with four minutes left. Her shot from the centre circle looped in over Hobbs to again leave for a nervier finish than first imagined. The comeback was complete with seconds left to play when Boye-Hlorkah hooked home from close range.
