There were no surprises in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup as Glasgow City and Celtic successfully avoided any potential banana skins on Sunday afternoon.
Holders Glasgow City eased into the last four by scoring eleven times without reply against Kilmarnock. No less than ten different players managed to get on the scoresheet, Hayley Lauder netting a brace along with one apiece from Julie Fleeting, Lauren McMurchie, Leanne Ross, Denise O'Sullivan, Rhonda Jones, Nicola Docherty, Susan Fairlie, Abbi Grant and Kerry Montgomery.
Celtic meanwhile faced the challenge of Motherwell but also safely made it through with a 7-0 victory. The Ghirls never looked back after Cara McBrearty gave them the lead, with an own goal and a second from McBrearty putting them three ahead at the interval. Kelly Clark increased Celtic's lead before they added three goals in the last ten minutes through Joanne Paton, Kirstin McGuire and Clark again.
This completes a strong looking semi final line up after Rangers and Hibernian had both won their ties on Friday night, Rangers having beaten their SWFL side 5-0 whilst the Hibees triumphed 7-0 against Cumbernauld Colts.
