Stoke City continue to stretch the early pace in the Northern Division after running out 5-0 winners over Guiseley AFC Vixens.
After the first half had ended goalless, Ashleigh Hayes broke the deadlock on the hour and Laura Garside quickly added the second. Louise Roberts extended Stoke's lead and they went on to crown the win with two further goals late on through Garside and Jamilla Palmer.
Derby County stay one point behind in second place as they put their midweek disappointment behind them to bounce back and beat Bradford City 2-1. Sam Griffiths' early goal was cancelled out two minutes later by Katie Nutter, before a Lauren Steadman goal eleven minutes from time tipped the balance in Derby's favour.
Blackburn Rovers have moved into the top three, thanks to a 2-0 victory over Sporting Club Albion. Lynda Shepherd headed Rovers in front during the first half and Saffron Jordan wrapped up the win with the second goal after the break.
Preston North End continue to improve and their 5-1 success against Loughborough Foxes has taken them into the top half of the table. Chelsea Flanagan was on target twice for Preston along with Hannah Forster, Danielle Young and Keeleigh Savage.
Huddersfield Town and Nottingham Forest shared the spoils and six goals in a thrilling encounter. Emily Heckler gave Huddersfield a first half lead which was cancelled out by Megan Howard and after a Kelly Kennaugh own goal had put Town back in front, Andi Bell equalised before half time. Bell struck again midway through the second half to send Forest ahead for the first time but Heckler has been in unstoppable form so far this season and she was to have the final say, scoring her tenth league goal of the season to secure a point for her side.
