Brighton stay in front
 Women's Football News 14 Sep 2015
The top three all recorded victories on Sunday, with Brighton & Hove Albion keeping themselves one point ahead with a 4-0 success away to Plymouth Argyle.
The Seagulls were two goals up inside the opening ten minutes thanks to Deanna Cooper and Charlotte Gurr, who went on to complete a hat-trick with two further strikes early in the second half.
Cardiff City Ladies stay on their heels in second place after recording their fourth straight victory, 2-0 at Queen's Park Rangers. Michelle Green headed Cardiff in front just before the hour mark and after Elly Maggs had had a goal disallowed at the other end, Kelly Aldridge struck home the second to secure the points for the South Wales side.
Portsmouth maintained their winning start by beating Lewes 2-0, to remain one point off the pace. Leeta Rutherford gave Pompey the lead just after the half hour and Charley Wilson wrapped up the win with the second goal.
Tottenham Hotspur are up into fourth place following their 2-1 victory over Forest Green Rovers. Wendy Martin and Sophie McLean sent Spurs into a two-goal lead at half time and although Paige Stewart reduced the arrears early in the second half, Tottenham closed the game out for their third win in four games.
Charlton Athletic leapfrogged C & K Basildon into fifth by defeating the newly promoted side 4-1. Gemma Shepherd kept up her good form by hitting a hat-trick and Nikita Whinnett adding the other, with Hannah Porter replying.
