Champions win on goal laden day
 Women's Football News 15 Sep 2015
Cardiff Met Ladies began their defence of the Welsh Premier Women's League by winning an astonishing match 8-4 against PILCS.
Robyn Pinder led the scoring for Met with a four-goal haul, Emily Allen weighed in with a brace and there was one apiece from Erin Murray and Stacey Ayling. Lyndsey Davies replied with two goals for PILCS, whose other markswomen were Jassie Costa and Alana Murphy.
MBi Llandudno also enjoyed a convincing away victory in their opening game, running out 4-0 winners over Newcastle Emlyn.
Swansea City started the season strongly with a 4-1 success at Rhyl & Prestatyn. Emma Beynon was on target twice along with Kelly Newcombe and Sophie Hancocks for the Swans, with the home side's consolation coming from Ashley Mills.
Port Talbot Town began their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Wrexham. All of the goals came in the first half with Samantha Morgan, Lauren Amor and Rachael Ball all finding the net for Port Talbot and Wrexham replying through Julia Morris.
Newly promoted Cyncoed Ladies produced the day's other home victory, 2-0 against Aberystwyth Town. Carys Hill and Ellen Phillips scored the goals to get the Cardiff-based side off to a winning start.
The honours were shared in the other game as Cwmbran Celtic and Cardiff City FC battled out a 1-1 draw. After a goalless first half, Rhiannon Taylor opened the scoring for Cwmbran, a lead they held until late on when Shannon Evans salvaged a point for City with the equaliser.
