Everton 1 (King 90) Durham Women 1 (Johnson og 38)
An own goal from Lindsay Johnson looked to have been enough to give the visitors all three points and consign Nicola Anderson's side to their first league defeat since May, but a late Jess King strike salvaged a point for the Blue Girls.
Everton started brightly and almost took the lead through a Paige Williams thunderbolt though Durham goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse was equal to it and was able to tip it onto the crossbar.
Simone Magill was next to go close, breaking free of the Durham defence only for her shot to roll inches wide.
Durham took the lead against the run of play when Johnson tried to clear the ball off the goalline but her attempt deflected into the goal to put the visitors ahead.
Just before the break the Blue Girls' were nearly back on level terms when Kelly Jones released Dan Turner into the penalty area but her effort slid just past the post.
Everton began the second half on the front foot with Williams again testing Moorhouse from distance. The Wildcats stopper was again able to turn the ball onto the bar and the Durham defence scrambled clear.
As the game reach its final quarter Magill's powerful header looked to be flying in only for Moorhouse to produce a superb save to keep her side's lead intact and her fine save seemed to have secured the victory for Durham in the game's dying stages.
However, substitute Jess King was on hand to rescue a point for the Blue Girls slotting in from just inside the penalty area.
