Away win keeps Arsenal hopes alive
 Women's Football News 26 Sep 2015
Sunderland 1 (Mead 21) Arsenal 3 (Ubogagu 16,54, Natalia 75)
Arsenal beat Sunderland 3-1 in the Womens' Super League on Saturday evening to keep their title chances alive.
The Gunners went ahead after quarter of an hour when Chioma Ubogagu capitalised on a loose ball in the box. Sunderland hit back immediately as Beth Mead rounded Sari Van Veenendaal and slotted the ball into an empty net.
Danielle Carter almost got lucky when her powerful strike was saved but the sides headed into the interval deadlocked.
Ubogagu restored the visitors' lead early on in the second half when she applied the finishing touch to Alex Scott's pass.
Natalia put the game beyond doubt fifteen minutes from the end when she lobbed Hilde Gunn Olsen following a defensive mix up.
Sunderland: Hilde Gunn Olsen, Abby Holmes (sub Charlotte Potts 83mins), Vicky Greenwell, Steph Bannon, Victoria Williams, Rachel Furness, Kelly McDougall, Brooke Chaplen (sub Emma Kelly 70mins), Keira Ramshaw (sub Stephanie Roche 83mins), Abbey Joice, Beth Mead. Subs not used: Gemma Wilson.

Arsenal: Sari van Veenendal, Alex Scott, Casey Stoney, Vicky Losada (sub Jade Bailey 86mins), Natalia Pablos Sanchon, Jordan Nobbs, Danielle Carter (sub Marta Corredera 77mins), Chioma Ubogagu (sub Rachel Yankey 63mins), Leah Williamson, Jemma Rose, Dominique Janssen.
